Once again it was time for our annual Labor Day camping trip to Willow River State park
This year the weather was perfect. We played a new frisbee game called D-pole.
Ben Dusold (our usher and good friend) joined us for the first time this year. He brought Genna's dog with him (everyone thought it was hilarious that he had to clean up after her).

The guys tried to re-create our accidental picture of evolution from the first year.
Brandt and I managed to add a new member to our family during our camping trip. We met a man by the Willow River falls who had a tiny kitten with him. He told us about how he couldn't keep her because he had two litters at home to find families for. Long story short, we have a new kitty named Willow (after the falls where we got her).
We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into...
She was so small at first! She only weighed 1.6 pounds
Baby Lucy was baptized in Green Bay. Brandt was asked to be the Godfather. He was very honored :-)

The Petrie clan made it down for dinner one night. Oscar and Belen had so much fun playing with Willow in a paper bag!
Brandt was sworn into the MN State Bar Association
And celebrated by getting a new tattoo of Lady Justice
Brandt and I finally made the trip to Duluth to visit Nick and Becky. We went out for some sight seeing on our own. Here is my attempt at being artsy at the Glensheen Mansion.
The Glensheen family owns the Hilltop apple orchard that you probably enjoy when you drink apple juice. They are also famous for the Glensheen murders. They happened in the mansion we toured.

The entire time we were at this lighthouse in Two Harbors we thought we were at the Split Rock Lighthouse... We didn't find out until later that we were not... FAIL
We still had a lot of fun though!
